Starting and running
Fuel delivery, carburetor circuits, spark strength, compression, valve clearance and intake leaks.
Off-road motorcycle service
Diagnosis and repair for dirt bikes and minibikes that will not start, run correctly, shift, stop or stay reliable.
Include the dirt-bike year, make, model, engine size, symptoms and photos when texting.
Louisville equipment repair
A dirt bike can have the same symptom for very different reasons. Hard starting may come from stale fuel, a dirty carburetor, weak ignition, tight valves, low compression, air leaks or internal wear. Testing comes before parts replacement.
Machines that have been modified, stored for years, or taken apart before arrival may require more diagnostic time. You will be told what is known, what still needs testing, and what the repair is likely to cost.
What gets checked
Dirt-bike repairs are based on compression, spark, fuel delivery, valve or timing condition, chassis safety and the availability of correct parts.
Fuel delivery, carburetor circuits, spark strength, compression, valve clearance and intake leaks.
Noise, smoke, compression loss, timing concerns, top-end damage and whether repair is financially sensible.
Clutch operation, chain and sprockets, brakes, cables, controls, bearings and safety-related wear.
Common symptoms
A bike that kicks, cranks or runs badly can still have a fuel, ignition, compression, timing or valve problem, so the engine is tested before parts are swapped.
Starting behavior can point toward carburetion, valves, compression, ignition or air leaks.
Restricted fuel circuits, air leaks, fuel-flow problems and incorrect carburetor setup are common causes.
Oil consumption, top-end wear, timing, bearings and internal damage should be evaluated quickly.
Cable adjustment, clutch wear, chain condition and internal drive issues may need inspection.
Actual shop work
The bikes and engine parts below are from actual dirt-bike jobs in the garage.

Before scheduling
Some top-end and internal work is accepted after diagnosis. Parts availability, machine value and total repair cost determine whether the job makes sense.
Some are accepted. Parts quality and availability vary, so the machine is evaluated before a large repair is approved.
Possibly. Partially disassembled machines usually require additional diagnostic authorization because missing parts and previous work must be checked.
