No-start and fuel repair
Fuel quality, tank flow, carburetor, choke, spark, compression and safety shutdown systems.
Equipment that needs to work
Diagnosis and repair for generators, pressure washers, log splitters, pumps and other engine-powered utility equipment.
Include the model tag, engine information, starting symptoms, power-output symptoms and photos.
Louisville equipment repair
Generators and utility machines often sit for long periods, which allows fuel to degrade, carburetor passages to clog, batteries to weaken and wiring connections to corrode. A machine that ran last season may not be ready when the power goes out or the next job starts.
The engine, fuel system and electrical output or driven equipment are considered separately. That distinction helps determine whether the problem is in the engine or in the machine it powers.
What gets checked
Generator and utility-equipment repairs consider engine condition, electrical output, load performance, fuel-system condition and whether replacement parts remain practical.
Fuel quality, tank flow, carburetor, choke, spark, compression and safety shutdown systems.
Surging, hunting, low power, smoke, oil leaks, valve issues and mechanical condition.
Generator output concerns, pressure washer symptoms, pumps and driven components are evaluated with the engine condition.
Common symptoms
An engine that runs without making power is a different failure from one that will not start, so the engine and output side are tested separately.
Old fuel, restricted carburetor circuits, weak spark and stuck components are common after sitting.
Fuel restriction, carburetor metering, air leaks and governor issues can cause unstable speed.
The engine and the generator, pump or pressure system must be diagnosed as separate systems.
Fuel flow, ignition, compression, overheating and load-related faults should be tested under operating conditions.
Actual shop work
The generators shown below are real machines serviced or evaluated in the garage.

Before scheduling
Yes. Run it safely, verify it starts easily and confirm output before an emergency. Do not wait until the power is already out.
Some inverter generators are accepted. Electronic module failures can be expensive, so diagnosis and parts availability determine the next step.
Chainsaws, leaf blowers, weed eaters and similar low-value handheld two-cycle equipment are normally not accepted.
